Essay for Level 5

 Level 5 Students,

You will need to write a comparison and contrast essay about food in your country and that in the U.S.A. 

Please make an outline before writing and include it with your essay.


It will be worth 100 points: 50 for content and 50 for literacy. 
Outlining:


Title

Introduction
   Thesis statement (should encompass the ideas of both topic sentences)

Paragraph 1: Topic sentence.

Paragraph 2: Topic sentence.


Conclusion.
Restate the thesis and include your personal attitude towards the subject.

Tips:

• When writing an essay, use short simple sentences and make sure the sentences are logically connected and support the topic sentences.
• Be cautious if you try to use new words. Make sure you understand the words and the way they are used.
• Use correct punctuation and check the spelling.
• After you make the outline, use it to write your essay.  Include the outline with your essay.
• Absolutely no plagiarism!
